Magellan Sportfishing

Taxidermy

Ask us how to get your next trophy fish mounted at North East Taxidermy Studios.

Aboard the Magellan, Capt. Jason caught a 550 pound Thresher Shark on one of our shark fishing charters south of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. On the ride back to the dock I got a call from the boat. The crew wanted to get this beast mounted to fill a wall in their house. I said Ok? Not really knowing the right direction to point our customers in. I stated putting feelers out(this was on a Sunday mind you). I called several places on Cape Cod and even put a few calls out to some of the professionals I new throughout New England. The word I got from several reliable sources was that the place to send these guys with a huge shark was North East Taxidermy. So I called them. I spoke to Lowrey, the owners wife, who just happened to be in the office on a Sunday. She was very pleasant and helpful and put me touch with Joe the owner. With in a few minuets, before the boat even got back to the dock, we were all set. Joe explained in great detail exactly what we needed to do. What seemed to be a monumental task was simple.

I am so impressed with their operation that I now tell all of our clients, if you catch a fish today that you would like to get mounted go with North East Taxidermy. They do skin and fiberglass reproductions of anything from Porgies, Sea Bass, Striped Bass, Blue Fish, Fluke, Cod, School, Medium and Giant Blue fin tuna and yes, Sharks.

North East Taxidermy Studios is located in Middletown Ct. and has been family owned since 1976. These guys are very busy but that’s because they’re good. They have an excellent record when it comes to delivery time, getting your trophy in and out quick and done right. Their office personnel and crew are extremely professional because your trust matters most to them.

Please ask us how we can help you by getting that next trophy fish mounted.

Capt. Len Greiner.
